I’ve never made a podcast before. Can you help me get started?
You can book consulting time with an award-winning podcast producer who can help you shape your show concept, map out episode ideas and create a plan to get started.
What’s included when I book a studio session?
You’ll get time in our professional podcast studio plus a dedicated producer/engineer to handle the technical side and help you and your guests have a comfortable, productive recording experience.
Do I need to bring any equipment?
We’ve got the equipment covered. Bring your scripts or talking points and a laptop if you need one. We’ll bring the coffee.
Can I record both audio and video?
Studio 5 is equipped for professional audio recording, two-camera video production, or both at the same time.
Can you edit my podcast after I record it?
You can hire our team to edit what you record in our studios, or take your raw files with you and handle post-production yourself.
What’s included when WJCT edits my podcast?
You get more than a professionally edited episode. Every episode we edit also includes show notes, title suggestions and two promotional clips, giving you the essential content you need to publish and promote your episode.
Can you help me launch my podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other platforms?
We can set up your podcast and get it distributed to the major podcast platforms so your show is ready to be discovered and heard.
How long should I book the studio for?
Studio time is booked by the hour, so it depends on your episode length and recording pace. Some clients batch several short episodes in one session, while others use the full hour for a single conversation.
How long does editing take?
Our standard turnaround time for a professionally edited episode is five business days.
How quickly can I get my raw audio and video files?
If you’re taking your raw files with you for your own post-production, we can typically provide them the same day or within 24 hours.
Can I customize the Studio 5 set for my podcast?
Bring items that reflect your brand or personality, refresh the bookshelves, rearrange pieces on the set or even bring in your own furniture to make the space feel like yours.
Do you offer podcast production outside of WJCT?
Our team offers on-location podcast production throughout the Jacksonville area, bringing professional audio and video production to you.
Can I use Studio 5 for audiobooks, commercials or other professional audio projects?
Studio 5 is located inside WJCT’s professional broadcast facility and can be booked for audiobooks, voiceovers, commercials and other professional audio recording needs.
What should I do to prepare for my recording session?
Come with your scripts, questions or talking points ready to go. We’ll handle the tech. You bring the conversation.
