Gilbert M. Gaul

Gilbert M. Gaul was a reporter for The Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times for over 35 years. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1979 and 1990, and has been a finalist for the Pulitzer four other times. He is the author of four books, including The Geography of Risk: Epic Storms, Rising Seas and the Cost of America’s Coasts, which was published in September of 2019 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and has been critically acclaimed by The New York Times, The New Yorker, The New York Review of books, Outside Magazine and Nature. Gaul has appeared on Fresh Air, All things Considered, Morning Joe and other media outlets.
