Raleigh, NC-brad alt-country faves American Aquarium continues their summer tour promoting their anthemic new offering — the 10-song Chicamacomico (out now on Thirty Tigers records) — with a stop at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Monday.

Nathanial Rateliff & The Night Sweats – Tuesday, June 21

St. Augustine Amphitheatre | St. Augustine 

Throwback rhythm-and-blues act Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats stops at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The band’s third-studio album, The Future, launched the Denver band from the upper-tier of the college-radio charts into full-blown mainstream stardom.

Afrobeta – Thursday, June 23

The Walrus | Murray Hill

Synthy and dance-inducing Miami duo Afrobeta plays the Walrus in Murray Hill on Thursday,  with support from local indie band Teal Peel.

Jax Metal Fest – Friday, June 24; Saturday, June 25

Underbelly | Downtown Jax

Downtown Jax’s Underbelly hosts a heavy dose of metal (not all of it heavy metal), with the two night Jax Metal Fest, featuring Doomsday Reject, Dead Centre, Haunted, The Noctambulant, Malformity, Necromorphic, Carrion Curse, Saturnine and more.
