WJCT Public Broadcasting Announces Its American Graduate Champions
Honorees To Be Recognized at TEACH Conference on Sept. 16
(Jacksonville, FL, August 30, 2017); WJCT Public Broadcasting is pleased to announce its five local American Graduate Champions to be honored at the TEACH Conference on September 16 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Downtown. After soliciting nominations from the community, the Champions were selected based upon their leadership and dedication for their efforts to keep First Coast students on the path to graduation. The 2017 American Graduate Champions are:
Larry Roziers and Pearl Roziers, retired teachers from Duval County Public Schools with a combined 70 years of service to students. Larry retired as assistant superintendent, community and family engagement, and Pearl retired as assistant superintendent, school choice.
Matthew Ohlson, a member of the faculty at the University of North Florida and director of the CAMP Osprey leadership and mentoring program.
SFC Myron Jackson, an Army JROTC instructor at Samuel W. Wolfson School for Advanced International Studies and Leadership in Jacksonville.
Vicki Murphy, International Baccalaureate coordinator at Pedro Menendez High School in St. Augustine.
