Video & recording services

WJCT has recording & live streaming capabilities available at an additional cost. A recording or live stream typically uses a 3-camera setup with a director to produce a switched output. WJCT does not offer any editing or post-production services.

You’ve never seen a venue quite like the WJCT Soundstage.

SQUARE FOOTAGE: 7,800
SEATING CAPACITY: 400

Over 7,800 square feet of unobstructed event & production space, total environmental control, LED full color capsule lighting, 30-foot ceiling heights and more. The three-wall cyclorama, totaling 125 linear feet and measuring 23 feet tall, adds infinite flexibility to this already incomparable production facility.

Rental of the Soundstage also includes dressing rooms with showers, offices, access to wi-fi, food preparation and service areas and much more. Vehicular access to the studio is easy. All of this for a daily rental cost that will fit your budget.

Rental of the WJCT Soundstage is for the entire day (up to 12 hours from arrival time through the completion of the event). The event must conclude by midnight at the latest. Clean up/load-out can take as long as necessary. In special cases, load-out can take place the following day (speak to the Facilities Manager prior to the event). Renters can choose to rent the Soundstage for the day(s) prior to their event for set up/load-in/rehearsal for an additional cost.

Rental of the WJCT Soundstage includes the following:

  • Custom lighting (includes lighting of the cyc wall)
  • Audio equipment
  • Computer & Projector
  • Tables, chairs, linens
  • Staging
  • Loading dock/Staging area
  • Green Room including 2 dressing rooms & private bathrooms
  • 2-4 crew members for setup/teardown & A/V support
  • Private parking lot for attendees and staff up to 225 spaces (availability dependent on the day and time of the event)
  • Official Capacity of the Soundstage is 400 standing, 350 seated (this number reduces depending on the size of the stage and the number of tables being used)

Insurance

All Renters MUST provide WJCT commercial general liability insurance with a single occurrence limit of liability of at least $1,000,000 with WJCT as an additional named insured party. At least 7 days prior to the event, the Renter must provide evidence of such insurance covering the dates of facility use in the form of a copy of the insurance policy or a certificate of insurance listing the types and limits of coverage, the name of the insurance company issuing coverage, the policy number, the named insured(s), and the policies & effective periods.

Catering & Bar Services

Rental of the WJCT Soundstage does not include catering or alcohol/bar service. Renters are allowed to hire their own caterer and/or bar service. Renters are allowed to bring in and serve (at no charge) their own beer & wine (this is covered by your general liability insurance). If serving liquor or hosting a cash/paid bar, a properly insured bar service must be used.

Security

WJCT along with the Renter will determine if security personnel are needed on-site during the event. Renters may hire their own private security, however if WJCT determines JSO officers are needed, the Renter will cover the cost of the officers as well. For events held during non-business hours, WJCT requires someone to be present in the lobby to greet your guests from the time the doors open until the time they close.

Rental Agreement Process

  1. The Renter & WJCT agree on a date(s) for their event
  2. The non-refundable deposit to hold the date is $1000 (WJCT will send an invoice and an electronic payment link)
  3. WJCT will send the Renter a contract for their event. When WJCT receives both the signed contract and the
    deposit, the date will be officially booked for the Renter.
  4. The remaining balance & certificate of insurance is due at least 1 week in advance of the event
    • The deposit is non-refundable. Failure to cancel reservations 2 weeks (10 business days) prior to the reserved
    event date will result in payment in full.
