Bio: I am a 6th generation Florida Panhandle native. Celebrating the end of summer with a frozen treat was an easy decision, but I had to convince naysayers that fresh shucked oysters must be the main ingredient. I learned on WJCT (watching Chef Staib’s A Taste of History) that Dolley Madison served oyster ice cream at state dinners. Luckily, my recipe didn’t involve cutting ice from a winter river!
