Artist: Rachel de Cuba
Bio: I create works of handmade crafts such as embroidery and quilting in traditional styles while fusing narratives to illustrate the rich heritage and culture of the South. Working with the stories and legacies of women’s activism as well as leadership in craft I push to reignite their names in the viewers present day, giving a new air to old stories of women with roles in pioneering the South.
