Chip Southworth has been creating art in Jacksonville for most of his life. He is known not only for his artwork but also as a creative voice for social justice.
From a young age, Ingrid Yuzly Mathurin loved art. With support from her foster mother, Ingrid pursued art and makeup before a stroke changed her life. She rehabilitated herself and returned to art with a new sense of purpose.
Litter prevention programs come in all forms, but the Golden Isles in Southeast Georgia took this concept to a new level. They created a powerful campaign for a litter free community using art in public places.
Residents at Penney Retirement Community volunteer their time to help people in need all over the world. The PET Project helps people who have lost their legs due to disease, land mines, or other events. Volunteers build PET (personal energy transportation) vehicles that give people the gift of mobility.
